An altered image of former U.S. President Donald Trump has circulated online with his face edited to make him appear older and larger.

The image showed Trump wearing a white polo t-shirt and a Make American Great Again cap with his face edited to make him appear larger with deeper wrinkles.

One user falsely claimed that the image was captured after the FBI searched Trump’s Florida residence, Mar-a-Lago, in August 2022 with a caption that reads: “the first pic of trump after the FBI raided Mar-a-Lago" (here).

The FBI searched Trump’s residence on Aug. 8, 2022 as part of an investigation into his removal of official presidential records from the White House to his Florida resort (here).

One Facebook account shared the altered image of the former president with a caption that reads: “recent pic of Trump. What's your impression?” (here)

The image is altered, however, and the original was captured at the LIV Golf tournament in Bedminster, New Jersey on July 28, 2022. The image was captured by Associated Press (AP) photographer Seth Wenig and can be seen via the AP photography website (here).
