According to a Reuters report, the 2020 clash broke out while French firefighters were demonstrating over their working conditions and demanding more pay (here).
The video resurfaced online in March 2023 as hundreds of thousands of protesters marched against Macron's plan and violent clashes with police erupted, Reuters reported (here).
