Albert Bourla, the CEO of Pfizer, received his second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine on March 10, 2021. Still, in August 2021, users on social media have referred to an outdated article that states he had to cancel a trip for not being fully vaccinated as if it were new.

Other posts include the link to the article, but do not acknowledge that it is months old. “That says a lot that the CEO of a vaccine manufacturer is not Vaxxed!” and “Brings to mind the saying, “Never trust a chef who won’t eat his own food.”, comments read.

Some posts include an article by the Jerusalem Post here archive.ph/OXsrC), titled “Pfizer CEO's Israel visit canceled because he is not fully vaccinated”, which was published on March 7, 2021. The Times of Israel also reported the story ( here ).

On March 10, Bourla shared a photograph getting his second dose of the Pfizer/BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine on Twitter ( here ).

The tweet reads, in part, “Excited to receive my 2nd dose of the Pfizer/BioNTech #COVID19 vaccine. There’s nothing I want more than for my loved ones and people around the world to have the same opportunity.”

In a December 2020 interview with CNBC's "Squawk Box" ( here ), Bourla, 59, stated that he didn’t want to be an example of “cutting the line” for getting vaccinated.
