A video of alleged Taliban members jumping on a trampoline has circulated online since at least March 2020, but social media users have shared it in August 2021 following the Taliban takeover of the Afghan capital, Kabul.

Reuters was unable to definitively source the video and who it depicts, but found it dates back to at least March 2020, confirming it does not portray current events in Afghanistan.

The earliest iteration Reuters could identify dates back to March 31, 2020 and was published on Facebook ( here ) with the caption “When the Taliban delegation first arrived in Kabul” (according to Google translate, originally in Pashto).
