* MOSUL - Gunmen shot dead a female candidate of the Iraqiya alliance and wounded her cousin in western Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.

RAWA - Gunmen booby trapped a house of a government-backed militia leader, wounding his wife and his two children in Rawa, 260 km (160 miles) northwest of Baghdad, police said.

MOSUL - Clashes between gunmen and security guards of a private company left six gunmen and one guard dead and two guards wounded on Saturday in the Taleta district of western Mosul, police said.

BAGHDAD - A sticky bomb attached to a car killed one man and wounded another in the Adhamiya district of northern Baghdad, police said.
