GAZA, March 20 (Reuters) - Israel's 22-day offensive in the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip killed 1,417 people including 926 civilians, 255 police officers and 236 fighters, a Palestinian rights group said, in a revision of its earlier figures.
The Palestinian Centre for Human Rights (www.pchrgaza.org) issued a revised tally of a March 12 "final" account, which was accompanied by a list of names of all the dead.
The rights group revised its tally children killed from 288 to 313 and lowered its count of woman killed from 121 to 116.
Its March 12 report said there were 1,434 people killed, including 960 civilians, 239 police officers and 235 fighters.
