Fiat, Russia's Sollers to create 2.4 bln euros JV

MOSCOW, Feb 10 (Reuters) - Italy’s Fiat and Russian car maker Sollers plan to invest 2.4 billion euros in a Russian joint venture with an aim to produce up to 500,000 Fiat cars per year, Russian government said in a statement on Wednesday.

The government said Prime Minister Vladimir Putin will travel to the town of Naberezhnye Chelny on Thursday to oversee the signing ceremony between Fiat and Sollers. The new car plant will assemble nine Fiat car models. (Writing by Gleb Bryanski)
