NEW YORK (Hollywood Reporter) - Ellen Page’s pre-“Juno” star turn in the unconventional split-screen drama “The Tracey Fragments” will hit U.S. theaters this May via ThinkFilm.
Page plays a depressed teen who searches for her missing younger brother. Director Bruce McDonald uses a non-linear narrative to convey her thoughts.
ThinkFilm, will release the film in New York May 9, followed by a platform theatrical rollout. It debuts in the New York on March 14 at the Museum of Modern Art’s fifth annual “Canadian Front” series.
“The Tracey Fragments” also is due to compete for six awards, including best actress for Page, at the Genies — Canada’s version of the Oscars — on March 3.
