BANGALORE, June 7 (Reuters) - The following corporate finance-related stories were reported on Tuesday:

* Russian lender Sberbank SBER03.MM plans to bid up to 750 million euros ($1.1 billion) for Volksbanken International, Austrian newspaper Die Presse reported, citing two Russian sources close to Sberbank. [ID:nLDE7560EM]

* BP (BP.L) is preparing to sell half its 50 percent stake in Russia’s third-largest oil producer TNK-BP TNBP.MM to state-controlled Rosneft (ROSN.MM), the Wall Street Journal reported. [ID:nLDE756084]

* General Electric (GE.N) and Capital One Financial Corp (COF.N) have submitted bids for ING’s ING.AS U.S. online banking operations in a deal worth about $9 billion, Bloomberg reported. [ID:nLDE75607J]

* Irish Life & Permanent IPM.I has received expressions of interest in its life business from trade buyers in North America, The Irish Times reported without citing any sources. [ID:nLDE75607R]

* Shares of medical diagnostics test maker Gen-Probe (GPRO.O) were down 12 percent after a report said Swiss drugmaker Novartis NOVN.VX appeared to be the last bidder for the company and suggested a deal might not go through at all. [ID:nN06300690]
