Investment bank Jefferies Group Inc. JEF.N hired Charles Mather as a managing director in the firm’s equity capital markets group to lead the origination and execution of equity private placements and PIPE -- private investment in public equity -- transactions. Mather has more than 20 years of investment banking and asset management experience, most recently as head of the private equity group at Cowen and Co.
Arden Asset Management LLC, a fund of hedge funds manager with $13 billion of assets, bolstered its senior executive team. Paul Ehrhardt, former chief operating officer of Legg Mason International Equities, joined Arden as COO and Managing Director. Gerrard Bushell, former director and head of institutional sales of ClearBridge Advisors, a division of Legg Mason, and Michael Horsburgh, former managing director and global head of corporate access at ABN AMRO, will join Arden as executive directors, institutional sales.
Morgan Stanley (MS.N) said that Paul Blain, its London-based head of foreign exchange for Europe, has retired. Blain, who had been at Morgan Stanley for 21 years, reported to New York-based Stephen Mettler, global head of FX.
Insurance and consulting firm Aon Corp. AOC.N said Roy Keller joined the company as senior vice president of global real estate. He is based in Chicago. Previously, Keller was deputy director of real estate at JP Morgan Chase.
Auto finance firm Triad Financial Corp. promoted Daniel Leonard to president and chief executive officer. Leonard, 59, has been with Triad since May 2003, serving as senior vice president of portfolio management. Leonard will continue to report to Carl Webb, Triad’s former president and CEO, who will now be co-chairman of the board along with Gerald J. Ford.

The investment bank appointed Claudia Kruse as vice president of the European environmental, social and governance research team. Kruse will join in August.
The British stockbroker appointed Robert Jukes as a global equity strategist.
The systematic investment manager appointed Ted Frith as senior European sales executive.
The investment banking subsidiary of Blue Oar Plc BLUE.L appointed Nick Redfern as head of equities.
It also appointed Tim Dyer as head of European sales.
The equity asset management firm appointed Yang Liu and Tony Jordan as co-chairmen.
