May 6 (Reuters) - The number of Mexicans who died from the H1N1 flu virus has jumped to 42, Mexico said on Wednesday, and the United States said the number of people infected there had risen to 642.

Poland and Sweden confirmed their first cases of swine flu, which has now reached 24 countries. Here are details of the latest number of worldwide cases:
