Freddie Mac to sell new 5-year notes April 6

NEW YORK, April 5 (Reuters) - Freddie Mac FMCC.OB, the No. 2 U.S. home funding company, is planning to sell new five-year reference notes on Wednesday, said IFR, a Thomson Reuters service, on Tuesday.

The notes will mature on May 27, 2016 and are expected to yield about 25.5 basis points over comparable U.S. Treasuries.

Settlement is April 8.

The amount of the issue has not been announced.

The joint lead managers on the sale are Barclays, Citigroup, and UBS, IFR said. (Reporting by Pam Niimi; Editing by James Dalgleish)
