Greek restructure hardly avoidable-German govt sources

BERLIN, April 18 (Reuters) - German government sources do not expect Greece will make it through the summer without restructuring its debt, several sources in Chancellor Angela Merkel’s government told Reuters on Monday.

The sources added that did not mean Germany’s government was pushing for a restructuring, but thought one was hardly avoidable.

The euro fell against the dollar after the comments, marking its lowest level since April 7, according to Reuters data. (Reporting by Matthias Sobolewski, writing by Annika Breidthardt)
