Swiss call for more time, legal certainty in implementation of global minimum corporate tax rate

ZURICH, Oct 8 (Reuters) - Switzerland on Friday called for more time and legal certainty in the implementation of new tax measures after the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) said a deal on global minimum corporate tax rate has been reached.

“Switzerland demands that the interests of small, robust economies are taken into account in the implementation, and that legal certainty is established for the companies concerned,” the finance ministry said in a statement, adding it would not be possible to introduce the new rules by 2023, as envisaged by the OECD.
