WASHINGTON, Oct 1 (Reuters) - U.S. antitrust officials have approved Iconix Brand Group Inc's ICON.O purchase of bedding and bath brands Pillowtex LLC for $231 million in cash, the Federal Trade Commission said on Monday.
U.S. antitrust authorities conducted an initial examination and decided the deal posed no antitrust concerns. The transaction was listed in a daily notice of such approvals issued by the FTC.
Iconix, which owns London Fog and Joe Boxer, had said it would buy Pillowtex LLC for $231 million in cash to diversify outside of the world of fashion.
