Polish banks, insurers should not pay dividends -regulator

WARSAW, March 26 (Reuters) - Poland’s financial regulator KNF head Jacek Jastrzebski said in a Twitter post on Thursday that banks and insurers should not pay dividends out of past profits as the coronavirus may have negative economic consequences.

Banks and insurers should not take decisions that may “weaken their capital base”, he said. (Reporting by Marcin Goclowski; editing by Jason Neely)
