Police to step up security checks in Paris train stations over coronavirus

PARIS, March 20 (Reuters) - Police will be stepping up security checks in Paris train stations from Friday, said the capital’s police force, as France ramps up its lockdown measures in its bid to fight the coronavirus outbreak.

The police force added on Friday that any train passengers without the necessary documentation to justify their rail journey could be fined 135 euros ($145).
