Sweden offers airlines credit guarantees up to 5 bln SEK, 1.5 bln to go to SAS

STOCKHOLM, March 17 (Reuters) - The Swedish government proposed on Tuesday to offer credit guarantees worth a maximum of 5 billion crowns ($504.0 million) to airlines, of which 1.5 billion is intended for partially state-owned firm SAS.

It said in a statement the proposal aimed to lessen the effects of the coronavirus on the sector.
