Japan PM Abe: "Very regrettable" that Taiwan was not observer at WHO assembly

TOKYO, June 11 (Reuters) - Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said on Thursday that it was “very regrettable” that Taiwan was not accepted to take part as an observer at the World Health Organization assembly last month.

Abe, speaking to parliament, said it was important to share information and knowledge from each nation, including Taiwan, on an infectious disease that has had significant impact globally. (Reporting by Yoshifumi Takemoto, Writing by Kaori Kanekol Editing by Alison Williams)
