Generic drugmakers secure speedy appeal of Maryland price-gouging law

A federal appeals court has granted a request by the main trade group for generic pharmaceutical companies to expedite its challenge to a Maryland law designed to penalize drugmakers for price-gouging.

The U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Richmond, Virginia on Tuesday agreed to a quicker schedule than usual to hear the Association for Accessible Medicines’ appeal in January.
