Taiwan regulator says urging financial companies to buy 'first rate' stocks

TAIPEI, March 17 (Reuters) - Taiwan’s Financial Supervisory Commission said on Tuesday it is encouraging financial companies to buy “first rate” stocks, as global equities plunge due to worries about the fast spreading coronavirus.

Finance Minister Su Jain-rong said authorities are paying close attention to the U.S. and Taiwan markets.
