Heineken trims profit forecast for 2019

BRUSSELS, Oct 23 (Reuters) - Heineken, the world’s second-largest brewer, forecast operating profit this year would be at the lower end of its previous guidance after third quarter volumes rose exactly in line with expectations.

The Dutch maker of Heineken, Europe’s top-selling lager, as well as Tiger, Sol and Strongbow cider said on Wednesday that operating profit before one-offs would rise by about 4% on a like-for-like basis in 2019.

It had previously said the growth would be by a mid-single-digit percentage, albeit after a very slim 0.3% increase in the January-June period. (Reporting by Philip Blenkinsop; Editing by Susan Fenton)
