Oct 27 (Reuters) - Hertz Global Holdings (HTZ.N) said it agreed to buy Melbourne-based Flexicar for an undisclosed sum, making its foray into the Australian car-sharing market.
Flexicar operates 90 vehicles and has about 2,500 members throughout Melbourne and Sydney, Hertz said.
Flexicar will be integrated into Hertz’s car-sharing brand, Connect by Hertz, which has more than 700 vehicles and 20,000 members.
The deal is expected to close on Dec. 1.
