Hong Kong's Mar-May unemployment rises to 5.9%, highest in more than 15 years

HONG KONG, June 16 (Reuters) - Hong Kong’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate rose to 5.9% in the March to May period, the highest in more than 15 years, as the coronavirus crisis hit an economy already in recession.

The jobless rate rose from 5.2% in the February to April period, the government said on Tuesday. (Reporting by Donny Kwok and Twinnie Siu; Editing by Andrew Heavens)
