PORT ELIZABETH, South Africa (Reuters) - Hollywood socialite Paris Hilton appeared in court in South Africa on Friday after being arrested for an unknown offence after attending a World Cup soccer match.
Hilton arrived at the court hearing in the South African city of Port Elizabeth looking tense and wearing a beige cardigan, boots and green trousers, according to a Reuters correspondent.
Police officials said no details would be released until after the court appearance.
The celebrity heiress arrived in South Africa on Thursday, according to her posts on Twitter. She was arrested after the Brazil-Netherlands World Cup quarter-final game, local radio said.
