SINGAPORE (Reuters) - Spot silver hit a new 2-1/2-year high of $20.84 an ounce on Friday, as it catches up with a rally in gold.
The gold-silver ratio, a measure of the number of silver ounces required to buy an ounce of gold, dropped to 61.21, its lowest in eight months.
