ATLANTA (Reuters) - Japan urged the United States on Saturday to find a way to break a deadlock over protections for next-generation medicines as talks on a sweeping Pacific trade pact were extended for an extra 24 hours.
Japanese Economy Minister Akira Amari said he had agreed to stay on until Sunday, but this was the last extension possible for talks on the Trans-Pacific Partnership, which began on Wednesday.
