Rosneft's vice-president Bogdanov leaves company

MOSCOW, Jan 11 (Reuters) - Vice-president of Rosneft ROSN.MM, Russia's largest oil company, Dmitry Bogdanov, has left the company at the decision of the shareholders, a company source told Reuters on Monday.

“Dmitry Bogdanov left the company by the shareholders decision”, the source said, declining to comment on the reason for the decision.

Rosneft said on its website that board member Viktor Ploskin would replace Bogdanov as acting vice-president, but gave no reason for the changeover.

Bogdanov took up his post as a vice-president in 2006 and supervised commercial and refining departments of the company.

Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Igor Sechin, who oversees Russia’s oil and gas sector, heads the board of directors of Rosneft, while the state holds a 75 percent stake in the company. (Reporting by Ekaterina Golubkova; writing by Gleb Gorodyankin)
