UK's 660-MW Heysham 2-8 nuclear unit restarts

LONDON, Jan 24 (Reuters) - EDF Energy's EDF.PA Heysham 2-8 nuclear power reactor in north-west England restarted on Friday, a spokesman for the UK arm of French nuclear giant EDF said on Monday.

The reactor, one of two 660-megawatt units at the plant, was running at 540 MW by Monday morning after increasing output over the weekend, according to data from network operator National Grid. (Reporting by Daniel Fineren)
