Certona and 3marketeers Fulfill Their Secure Remote Access Requirements with NCP engineering

NCP Secure Client – Juniper Edition Enables Enterprises to Overcome VPN Connectivity and Windows 7 Compatibility Issues

NCP engineering today announced that Certona and 3marketeers have equipped employees in the field and at satellite offices across the globe with the NCP Secure Client – Juniper Edition to ensure secure remote access to their central corporate networks. NCP’s IPsec VPN client software provided more stable and strong connections compared to the companies’ older solutions, easily supported their migration to Windows 7 32-/64-bit PCs and seamlessly integrated with their existing VPN gateways from Juniper Networks.

Key Facts

  • The NCP Secure Client - Juniper Edition is specifically tailored to enable Juniper customers using the Junos and ScreenOS platforms to extend endpoint flexibility and security. The bundled software suite, which replaced Juniper’s end-of-life Netscreen-Remote VPN, includes data encryption, support of mobile connect cards, and one-time password token and certificate support through a public key infrastructure (PKI).
  • The IPsec VPN client is also equipped with an intuitive graphical user interface, simple enough for any employee to understand and control. Plus, the software complies with FIPS inside, which is important for the setup and encryption of IPsec connections, and supports Wireless Wide Area Networks (WWAN) cards for Windows 7 users that wish to connect to WiMAX, UMTS and GPRS networks.
  • NCP has made a local license server available to enable enterprises to simplify the management of VPN client license assignments, transfers and updates. In addition, the help menu of the NCP Secure Client – Juniper Edition offers the ability to test Internet availability and help support staff with fault isolation.

    Supporting Quotes

    • “NCP’s IPsec VPN client software has become my go-to answer for our enterprise’s secure remote access concerns,” said Dane Ruyle, director of information technology operations, Certona. “There were so many inherent issues with our older solutions. NCP has certainly reduced my frustrations by tremendously decreasing the number of calls support was receiving from employees about their VPN connections.”
    • “Juniper’s recommendation of the NCP Secure Client – Juniper Edition proved to be spot on,” said Willy Lam, director, application development, 3marketeers. “The software was exactly what we needed to overcome our Windows 7 compatibility issue. Not only that, NCP’s customer support was extremely knowledgeable and made it a breeze to install and configure the VPN clients.”
    • “Both Certona and 3marketeers required a remote access solution that was not only compatible with their existing Juniper VPN gateways, but also capable of providing the stability and simplicity to ensure seamless connectivity. We are pleased to have been able to fulfill these customers’ requirements,” said Patrick Oliver Graf, general manager, NCP engineering. “At NCP, we pride ourselves on providing enterprises like theirs with flexible and interoperable yet strong VPN solutions to ensure both employee productivity and maximum security.”
