Sarah Palin Documentary, Werner Herzog Film Join Toronto Lineup

Werner Herzog's look at a death penalty case in Texas, Morgan Spurlock's trip to Comic-Con and Nick Broomfield's bound-to-be-controversial "Sarah Palin – You Betcha!" are among the documentaries that will be coming to the Toronto International Film Festival,  TIFF organizers announced on Wednesday.

The festival also announced several other TIFF lineups, include the City to City program, spotlighting films from Buenos Aires; a Vanguard Cinema section that includes Joachim Trier's "Oslo, August 31" (left) and half-a-dozen other provocative films from Russia, Thailand, China, Australia and Chile, among other places; a Midnight Madness program featuring "Lovely Molly" from Eduardo Sanchez, the director of "The Blair Witch Project," and Bobcat Goldthwait's "God Bless America"; and the TIFF Kids program, which consists of four films aimed at young audiences.

The festival, which runs from September 8 to September 18, announced its first batch of films last week; those included George Clooney's "The Ides of March," Bennett Miller's "Moneyball," Alexander Payne's "The Descendants" and an opening-night presentation of Davis Guggenheim's U2 documentary "From the Sky Down."

Additional information and tickets are available at tiff.net.
