TEHRAN, June 25 (Reuters) - A website of Iranian opposition leader Mirhossein Mousavi said 70 university professors had been detained after a meeting with him on Wednesday..
There was no immediate comment from the authorities on the report.
"Mousavi had a meeting with the country’s ... professors after which 70 people present in that meeting were arrested," the Mousavi website said.
Reformist sources have said hundreds of Iranian pro-reform activists and political figures have been detained after the disputed June 12 presidential election, which Mousavi says was rigged in favour of hardline President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. The authorities reject charges of vote fraud. (Tehran bureau)
