BAGHDAD - A roadside bomb targeting a U.S.-guarded truck convoy wounded a foreign driver in the Doura district of southern Baghdad, police said.

MOSUL - A bomb exploded as it was being put together, killing one of the makers and wounding a second, on Thursday in northern Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.

MOSUL - Gunmen shot dead two off-duty police officers in central Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, authorities said.
