Spain approves CSL's Gardasil anti-cancer vaccine

MADRID, Aug 24 (Reuters) - Spain’s government on Friday said it had approved used of the Gardasil vaccine manufactured by Australian firm CSL (CSL.AX) against the papilloma virus which can cause cervical cancer.

CSL, the world’s top maker of plasma products, is benefiting from a first full year of royalties from Gardasil and posted a 48 percent increase in annual net profit earlier this month.
