Feb 24 - Medical device maker Integra LifeSciences Holdings Corp posted quarterly results that breezed past market estimates helped by strong sales in its orthopedics and neurosciences segments.
The Plainsboro, New Jersey-based company sees adjusted earnings of $2.87-$3.02 a share on revenue of $765-$780 million for 2011.
Analysts were expecting earnings of $2.99 a share on revenue of $773.4 million, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S.
For October-December, Integra posted net income of $18.8 million, or 63 cents a share, compared with $15.7 million, or 53 cents a share, a year ago.
Excluding items, the company earned 80 cents a share. Revenue rose 6 percent to $194.1 million.
Analysts on average had expected earnings of 73 cents a share, excluding special items, on revenue of $193.1 million.
