FRANKFURT, April 20 (Reuters) - German securities watchdog Bafin has stepped up talks with the Securities Exchange Commission in the United States over the Goldman Sachs GS.N fraud investigation.
“Contact with the SEC has been intensified,” a spokeswoman for Bafin said on Tuesday.
Earlier, Goldman Sachs said first-quarter earnings nearly doubled, while Britain’s financial regulator launched a formal probe related to civil fraud allegations against the Wall Street bank. [ID:nN20251740]
