Cyprus says tests show first H1N1 flu case

NICOSIA, May 30 (Reuters) - Cyprus has identified its first case of the H1N1 flu virus, the island’s health minister said on Saturday.

"We have confirmed the first case of the new flu virus in Cyprus," Health Minister Christos Patsalides said.

The patient was a 39-year-old woman from Moldova living in Cyprus, who returned from the United States on May 28. (Reporting by Michele Kambas; Editing by Sophie Hares)
