NEW YORK (Hollywood Reporter) - A member of Iran’s exiled royal family is producing a movie about his grandmother, the twin sister of the country’s last shah.

“The Shadow of the Shah” revolves around Princess Ashraf Pahlavi, who was dubbed “The Black Panther” by the press. She supported Iranian women’s rights before the 1979 Islamic revolution forced her family into exile.

The indie project is being developed by her grandson, Prince Cyrus Pahlavi, along with producer Edward Bass and First Line Entertainment. An earlier Hollywood Reporter story erroneously said the late shah’s son, Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi, was producing the film.
