July 7 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq at 1330 GMT on Wednesday.

* BAGHDAD - Police shot at a suicide car bomber who tried to pass a security checkpoint in the Ghazaliya district of western Baghdad and the car exploded, wounding three soldiers and a policeman, police said.

* ABU GHRAIB - A bomb attached to a police officer’s car exploded, wounding a passenger, in the Abu Ghraib district of western Baghdad, police said.

ABU GHRAIB - At least three people were killed and six others wounded when attackers blew up the homes of police officers and others in Abu Ghraib, police said.

BAGHDAD - A bomb attached to a car killed a police major in the Doura district of southern Baghdad, police said.

BAGHDAD - A roadside bomb targeting a police patrol wounded three people in western Baghdad, police said.
