June 30 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Afghanistan at 0730 GMT on Tuesday.
BAGHLAN - Afghan police killed 15 Taliban fighters and wounded 13 during an operation in northern Baghlan-e-Jadid district on Monday, provincial police chief Abdul Rahman Sayedkheli said. Two policemen were killed and two wounded. The operation targeted a group of Taliban who frequently attacked convoys belonging to Afghan and foreign forces, Sayedkheli said.
KHOST - U.S.-led coalition forces killed more than a dozen Taliban militants during air strikes against a group of the Haqqani guerrilla network in the eastern province of Khost, the U.S. military said in a statement. (Compiled by Hamid Shalizi; Editing by Paul Tait)
