N.Korea leader son named to ruling party post--KCNA

SEOUL, Sept 29 (Reuters) - North Korean leader Kim Jong-il’s son and heir-apparent to the dynastic state, Kim Jong-un, has been named a member of the ruling Workers’ Party Central Committee, state media reported on Wednesday.

Jong-un, who is believed to have been born in 1983 or 1984 and had been given his first public title on Tuesday as a general, was named to the post at the first party conference in 30 years, KCNA news agency said. (Reporting by Jack Kim; Editing by Mark Heinrich)
