WASHINGTON (Reuters) - White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said on Tuesday a U.S.-Israeli dispute over Jewish settlement plans does not alter the United States’ long-standing commitment to Israel’s security.
“Mature bilateral relationships can have disagreements and this is one of those disagreements,” he said. “It does not break the unbreakable bond we have” with Israel on its security.
