LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Campbell Soup Co on Thursday voluntarily recalled 35,000 cases of its “SpaghettiOs” in the United States, saying some of the canned products might have been under-processed.
The recall, covering three varieties of the canned spaghetti popular with children, was launched after a routine warehouse inspection and subsequent investigation discovered the potentially under-processed product originating from its Paris, Texas plant.
Spokesman Anthony Sanzio said the company did not believe the product under recall had reached consumers, but acknowledged it was possible it had.
Should a consumer eat under-processed SpaghettiOs, they might experience gastrointestinal issues, such as nausea or vomiting, Sanzio said.
