DAVOS, Switzerland (Reuters) - Russia’s top energy official moved on Wednesday to calm the fears of BP’s Russian partners in the TNK-BP venture, saying a new alliance between BP and Russia’s state firm Rosneft was not a blow to TNK-BP.
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Igor Sechin called TNK-BP a separate successful business unit and BP’s chief executive Bob Dudley told the same news conference that BP would abide to all agreements with Russian partners and inform them shortly about the new alliance.
