AMSTERDAM, June 14 (Reuters) - Dutch brewer Heineken (HEIN.AS) said on Thursday it will buy Krusovice Brewery in the Czech Republic for an undisclosed sum from Radeberger Gruppe KG, boosting its market share in the country to 8 percent.
“The transaction, which will be funded from existing cash resources, is expected to be earnings enhancing in 2008 and value enhancing in 2010,” Heineken said in a statement.
The Czech brewer is profitable, employs about 300 people and is active in the premium segment of the market, Heineken said, adding 2006 sales volume was 700,000 hectolitres.
