IN BRIEF: California privacy measure will appear on November ballot

A California privacy measure that would create new rights for consumers and establish a new enforcement authority has garnered enough valid signatures to qualify for the state’s general election ballot.

California Secretary of State Alex Padilla announced Wednesday that the initiative, called the California Privacy Rights Act, will appear on the California ballot in November.
