 - INDIKA ENERGY SECURES 80 PCT COAL SALES TARGET IN 2009
 Indonesian coal miner, PT Indika Energy Tbk (INDY.JK), has agreed sales contracts of 19.2 million tonnes of coal, or about 80 percent of its target this year, investor relations official Retina Rosabai said. (Kontan)

 Investment in Indonesia is expected to grow by 4 percent in the third quarter to help accelerate economic recovery and spur  growth, Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati said. (Bisnis Indonesia)
 - SEMEN GRESIK TO KICK OFF EXPANSION OF 2 PLANTS
 Indonesia's biggest cement producer, PT Semen Gresik Tbk (SMGR.JK), is set to start the $700 million expansion of its two plants in East Java and South Sulawesi to meet rising demand, said president director Dwi Soetjipto. (Jakarta Globe)
 - GOVERNMENT TO REVIEW ACEH'S NEW SHARIA BILL BYLAW
 The government will ask the Supreme Court to review Aceh's new Islamic criminal code passed by its local parliament this week, particularly on the stoning to death for those who commit adultery, home affairs minister Mardiyanto said. (Jakarta Post)
 - GOVERNMENT WITHDRAWS DRAFT SECRECY BILL FROM PARLIAMENT
 Discussions on a controversial secrecy bill have been halted after the government withdrew the draft for further consideration, Defence Minister Juwono Sudarsono told a parliamentary committee in charge of the bill. (Jakarta Post)

 * Indonesia's index .JKSE gained 0.8 percent on Wednesday, to a near 16-month high, with state miner PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM.JK) up 5 percent and energy firm PT Medco Internasional Tbk (MEDC.JK) climbing 4.35 percent.[.JKSE]
 * U.S. stocks rose for a third day on Wednesday, hitting fresh 2009 highs in a broad-based rally following economic data that suggested a stronger-than-anticipated global recovery. [.N]
