JAKARTA, June 26 (Reuters) - A 6.4 magnitude earthquake struck off the Indonesian island of Papua on Sunday, the United States Geological Survey said, but no tsunami warning was issued and there were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
The epicentre of the quake was 161 km (100 miles) off Enarotali at a depth of 36 km (22 miles).
“We have not received immediate reports of damage,” Wandono, head of early quake and tsunami warning system at Indonesia’s meteorological and geophysics agency, told Reuters.
