Oct 24 (Reuters) - International Paper Co said on Thursday its quarterly profit rose 61 percent, helped by strong sales of corrugated packaging for shipping boxes.
For the third quarter, the company posted net income of $382 million, or 85 cents per share, compared with $237 million, or 54 cents per share, in the year-ago period.
Revenue rose 5 percent to $7.41 billion.
