Case to Watch: Fed Circuit weighs novel copyright theory in Syngenta case

A federal appeals court on Friday will consider a novel theory of copyright liability made by agrochemical company Syngenta AG in a dispute with a smaller rival.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit will hold oral arguments in Syngenta’s appeal of a ruling that dismissed its claim that Willowood LLC engaged in copyright infringement by copying the labels on Syngenta fungicide products.
